I received my Clinical Psychology Doctorate and Post Doctorate degrees from the United States and have worked in there and in Turkey for the last 20 years as a therapist, supervisor and instructor. In 2019, I moved to London, UK and founded CBT and Beyond. I offer individual, couple, and family therapy. I have extensive experience of treating a wide variety of anxiety and mood disorders such as depression, social and specific phobias, OCD, general anxiety, couples and relationship distress, and parenting issues.
I am specialized in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), but I also integrate other psychotherapeutic modalities, including acceptance and commitment therapy, Internal Family Systems, compassion focused therapy, mindfulness, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, positive psychology and interpersonal psychotherapy.
To specialize in Cognitive Therapy, I received training from leading names in the field of Cognitive Therapy, including Dr. Aaron Beck, Dr. Christine Padesky, Dr Judith Beck, Dr. David Burns, Dr. Torrey A Creed, and Dr. Leslie Sokol.
I completed my post doctorate studies at the Citrus Health Network in Miami, working with children and adolescents with psychiatric and behavioural disorders, and their families.
In Miami, I performed psychological evaluations (personality and intelligence tests) with individuals referred by the court, and took the position of expert witness by providing reports of the psychological evaluation of said individuals.
